FormatFlex ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and disclosed by FormatFlex.

1. Information We Collect

Files for Conversion

When you use our service to convert documents, you upload files to our secure servers. These files are processed solely for the purpose of conversion and are deleted from our servers immediately after the process is complete. We do not view, share, or store your content permanently.

Google User Data (Gmail Sync)

If you choose to use the Gmail Sync feature, FormatFlex will access your Gmail messages using the `gmail.readonly` scope. This access is governed by the following strict rules:

• Purpose: We only access emails to identify financial receipts, invoices, and transaction confirmations. This data is used to automatically populate your expense ledger.
• Storage: Email data is processed in real-time. We do not store the original email body on our servers. Only the extracted receipt data (Merchant, Amount, Date) is saved to your local device or iCloud.
• Google API Limited Use Disclosure: FormatFlex's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
• No Advertising: We do not use your Google user data (including Gmail content) for serving advertisements.
• Human Review Policy: We do not allow humans to read your Google user data. Automated systems process the data to extract financial details for your local ledger. Human access is only permitted if required for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or with your explicit consent for a specific message.

Usage Data

We may collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the app, such as crash reports and performance metrics.

2. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate our app:

• RevenueCat: Used to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. They may collect transaction data as per their privacy policy.
• Expo: Our app is built using Expo, which may collect data to ensure app stability.

3. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your files during transit (encryption) and processing. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

4. Your Rights

You have the right to access or delete your personal data. Since we do not require user accounts and do not store files permanently, we hold minimal data about you.
